Questions and Concerns
A. Personal Questions, Concerns, Comments.
Wow, what a month.
I've filled both the prestige and reports positions. Which is amazing!
They are awesome people and I'm sure they will do excellently on my staff.
As a side note, just because there are people in the prestige position,
please do not flood them with your audits. I'll be putting out a call for
new audits as soon as we get all the pending audits already on file handled.
The 'RC Hammer of Doom' had to come out this month as well. Not exactly my
favorite part of this position, but I suppose someone has to do it.

Summary of AZ, HI, NV, UT chapter and domain reports
Arizona
AZ-003 The Last Outpost (Reported 1/5/03) Rating: Late, Good
Members: 18, no transferring, 3 pending members. No members awaiting MC
advancement, 1 member recommended for Regional Prestige, 4 Members
Recommended for National Prestige
Last Chapter Meeting: November 16, 2002; Next Chapter Meeting: January 11,
2003
Chapter Minutes: "No meeting was held this month, so that members could
just
enjoy the holidays."
Current Projects: "To organize and solidify this chapter."
Comments: "We apparently now have four lost souls among our membership
and are awaiting proof of purchase, which may take a little time since the
member with that proof is not in the state. Also, given that some of these
members are supposed to be part of the "New Chapter" we are awaiting
the
confirmation of their status. Last word from Regional was that the New
Chapter did not have the required number of members but the CC-Elect of the
New Chapter has also emailed me and informed me that another application
has been sent."
Questions/Problems: " I still do not think that the formation of a new
chapter in the city of
Tucson is needed, nor do I see it doing anything but creating problems.
Given the way things have been approached by the members of the new chapter,
I do not have a great deal of confidence in the two chapters being able to
work together. However, if the members of the new chapter can indeed meet
the requirements for its formation then the staff at TLO are more then
willing to work with them. In plain English: "I got a bad feeling about
this
but I'm hoping that I will be proven wrong." "
~~~~~RC Note: I hope that the two chapters can work out their differences
amiacably. Perhaps arrange a time when you and the CC of the pending
chapter can sit down and work through whatever issues are currently existing
between the two chapters. Who knows, maybe the two of your chapters will
get along smashingly and you can form a domain once the new chapter gets out
of it's probationary period.~~~~~
------------------------
AZ-005 Tithe of Souls (Reported 1/7/03) Rating: Late, Mediocre
Members: 28, no transferring members, 4 pending members. No members
recommended for regional/national prestige.
Last Chapter Meeting: 12/07/02, Next Meeting: ??/??
Minutes: "At this time, KD will be absorbing the split membership of
Skeleton Crew and then joining into a Domain with Night Shift. Kara
expressed welcome for Tithe of Souls to join the new Domain in 6 months
time, should it be eveident that the new Domain and Tithe are still working
well together. The membership of Tithe of Souls expressed some hesitation at
this offer. Domain officers will already be in place at that time, and Tithe
of Souls will have little or no voice in their selection. As Tithe of Souls
would have the majority of the membership in the Domain, should Tithe choose
to join, they do not feel that this would be fair. The subject was tabled
for further discussion and to see what the outcome of the inquiry with Last
Outpost would be.
~~~~~RC Note: if you choose to join the domain, a vote for the positions can
always be held if you wanted. I'm sure an agreement can be arranged when
the time comes~~~~~
No comments/projects/problems/questions listed.
-------------------------
AZ-008 Kokopelli's Dream (Reported 12/30/02) Rating: Early, Good
Members: 28, no transferring members, no pending members. No members
recommended for regional prestige, 3 members recommented for national
prestige.
Last Chapter Meeting: 12/12/02; Next Meeting: 03/01/03
Meeting Minutes: 1. All membership from Skeleton Crew voted to transfer
membership to
Kokopelli's Dream. 2. All membership of KD voted to have Jeff Sollars as CST
and Garrett Hyde as CC. 3. We spoke briefly about the formation of a domain
with Night Shift. - Formation of a domain is dependant upon having complete
membership records for all members. - With Bob Dunn away on duty, Doty (NS
CC) and I will be looking for a new DC.
Current Projects: "Transfering of all memberships from Skeleton Crew to
Kokopelli's Dream."
Problems: "The membership database is in several formats, consolidating
the
work of several coordinators into one work will be difficult. Kara, the
outgoing CC has been very helpful in this process. Within the next couple
weeks I should have all of the old KD members prestige logs in the national
format. Combined with the work of Scott Viverito and Charlotte Elliott, we
should have all prestige logs fully up-to-date in about two months. (This
does not mean that we don't have the records... we do, but they are in an
unsatisfactory format at this time.)"
(No comments, questions listed)
---------------------------
AZ-009 Que Sera Sera (Reported 1/1/03) Rating: On Time, Good
Members: 9, no transferring members, no pending members. No members
recommended for regional/national prestige.
Last Chapter Meeting: 11/02/02; Next Meeting: 01/03/03
Meeting Minutes: "CST moved the November first deadline for character
updates and xp logs to Jan 03. The Chapter voted to cut the mage and
changeling games out until the New Year, and change the second Cam/Anarch
game to a Garou game until the new year to allow for the holiday schedule."
Problems: "Michael Beerman submitted a two conflicting membership numbers.
I
was wondering if membership services is the correct place to get his correct
number and to find out when he actually joined the Camarilla so I can get
his prestige accurate."
~~~~~RC Note: I can look most of this information up, and I am curious as
to why you wouldn't know when he joined the Camarilla. Regardless, that
information is included in the WW Cam numbers for new members.~~~~~
No questions/comments/projects listed.
Hawaii
HI-003 Red Sun Rising (Reported 1/4/03) Rating: Late, Good
Members: 13, no transferring members, 3 pending members. 2 members qualify
for MC advancement: Maja Chapman, to MC 2; Florence Doucet, to MC 3; 2
members recommended for over 100 prestige, no members recommended for
regional/national prestige.
Last Chapter Meeting: 12/27/02; Next Meeting: 1/11/03
Minutes: "Discussed Auctions: we have skills/powers that players are willing
to teach at auction. Currently discussing with ACC."
No projects/problems/comments/questions listed.
Nevada
NVD-001 The Ancient Gamble (Reported 1/8/03) Rating: Late, Good
Domain consists of 2 chapters, and 64 members. No members recommended for
regional/national prestige.
~~~~~RC Note: pardon my curiousity but what happened to the third
chapter?~~~~~
Last Domain Meeting: 12/22/02, Next Meeting: ??/??
Minutes: It was an informal gathering at Macayos. Because of the Holiday I
expected light attendance and got it. Afterwards we went to see the new Lord
of the Rings movie.
Questions: Can we get an update on the Prestige Review process? I understand
that a new ARC has been choosen to handle the duties. Do we have a
commitment yet on when the backlog will be cleared out? We are still
awaiting the results of Guy Seggev's Audit by Regional.
~~~~~RC Note: the current backlog is being handled. Expect to hear about
Guy Seggev's audit soon.~~~~~
Arbitration: Last Sin City Ghetto game, an altercation took place that may
involve arbitration by several members. Once all the facts are in I will
have more information in my next report.
--------------------------
NV-004 The Grand Illusion (Reported 12/31/02) Rating: Early, Good
Members: 12, no transferring members, no new members. 3 members recommended
for 100+ prestige, no members recommended for regional/national prestige.
Last Chapter Meeting: 12/15/02, Next Meeting: 1/14/03
Minutes: We discussed several questions that those in the meeting had,
mainly about the state of their Prestige and MC. Several members had
questions as to where they stood, and I will be sending individual reports
out to each member this month, since school is out. This month has been
really akward for us since we had our game on the second weekend, and our
Social on the third weekend when we saw The Two Towers. Since the 15th, we
haven't really been meeting regularly due to the holiday season. We are
holding a Social tonight as a chapter, and members are bringing things, and
we hope to be playing WW games, which will be great. As far as the length of
this portion, I do apologize, however since we met three times this month,
there is not much to report on the CC side of things. Other than Phil
Ritchie who has had his characters desanctioned for not having any of our
CST's check his characters for the RST approval things he had on it.
However, Phil has quit our chapter, however hasn't quit the Camarilla. If
anything develops out of this, I'll make sure to include it in my reports.
~~~~~RC Note: Phil Ritchie cannot just quit a chapter. He must first
either find a new chapter to join or obtain RC approval to become a regional
independent member. Until that time he needs to remain with your
chapter.~~~~~
Current Projects:
-We have been collecting for the Box Tops for education, and the General
Mills project that Cat talked about. Our members are committed to this
charity as well.
-All of our members are committed to donating soda tabs to the Ronald
McDonald House. We've been doing this for almost a year now, and we're going
to continue for as long as there is a need for these tabs.
-We are planning for members of other RP groups to come and observe our next
Game. Due to the poor experiences of such RP groups with Faerae Noctis, we
are extending our hand of friendship for them to come and witness the reform
that has taken place in the months since the group was reformed as The Grand
Illusion.
-Trying to get the Camarilla as an official club at UNR and at TMCC so that
we can post flyers and have active recruiting going on.
------------------------
NV-005 Vegas Stakes (Reported 1/3/03) Rating: Late, Mediocre
Members: 28, no transferring, no pending. 3 members qualify for MC
Advancement: Amy Flannigan, us2002021796, to MC 3, Jamie Homampour,
US2002021394, to MC 7, Al Murphy, US2002045468, to MC 3. 1 member qualifies
for 100+ prestige, 2 members recommended for national prestige.
Last Chapter Meeting: 12/29/02, Next Meeting: ??/??
Minutes: The CST and CC were voted on and the results were Dustin Gwin
becoming the new CST and Mario Kellert becoming the CC of Vegas Stakes by
unanimous desicion.
---------------------
NV-006 Dark Glittering Knights (Reported 1/1/03) Rating: On Time, Good
Members: 16, no transferring members, no pending members. 5 members qualify
for 100+ prestige, 7 members recommended for regional prestige, 1 member
recommended for national prestige.
Last Chapter Meeting: 12/07/02, Next Meeting: 1/04/03
Minutes: Proposed a budget from chapter funds to be used for ink cartridges
and paper for the CST and CC of the chapter. First, above mentioned officers
will see if anyone wants to volunteer said items for prestige. If none
volunteer, the officers will be reimbursed half of the cost of the
cartridges and paper from funds. Voted and passed. Voted for CC and CST. 11
members voting, 3 of which were proxy votes. Valorie Garrard was elected CC,
Rose Sylvia was elected CST by majority votes.Discussed the proposal of
Sabbat/Cam crossover. Out of the people present at meeting, 7 were against,
2 abstained and others not sure. They feel it may be interesting, but
worried about how it will happen. Shane to bring this up with DST.
Current Projects: We are continuing to collect pull-tabs to be donated to
Ronald McDonald House, and continuing to recruit new members.
Comments: Have resubmitted Guy Seggev's prestige log to Matt Giezentaner to
be sent up for audit for MC9. We are awaiting information on his achieving
this class. I have resubmitted his prestige log to Sarah Despars. We are
still awaiting the audit. I registered Curtis Reynolds for his WW#. Was sent
a message from Member Services about this and replied with order number and
all information. Have not heard back about this yet.
~~~~~RC Note: Guy Seggev's log is currently being reviewed. You should be
hearing from my staff shortly in regards to his audit. I apologize for the
wait. Being without an ARC: Prestige makes the process very slow~~~~~
--------------------
NV-007 Sin City Ghetto (Reported 1/4/03) Rating: Late, Good
redesigning of our chapter web site. We continue to work on ways to recruit
new members and garner interest in our members to hold positions.
Utah
UT-002 Crimson Sentinal (Reported 1/6/03) Rating: Late, Mediocre
Members: 12, no transferring, 3 pending. No members recommended for
regional/national prestige.
Last chapter meeting: 12/02/02, Next Chapter Meeting: 1/06/03; No minutes
listed.
No comments/problems listed.
-----------------------
UT-008 Velvet Glove (Reported 1/3/03) Rating: Late, Good
Members: 16, no transfers, no pending. 5 members qualify for MC advancement:
Denise Thiessens MC2, Tim Kryselmire MC7, Richard Johnson MC8, Casey Corbin
MC6, Nathan Gibbons MC2. 1 member recommended for national prestige.
Last Chapter Meeting: 12/17/02, Next Meeting: 1/28/03
Minutes: Discipline Game January 28th, to help players understand
disciplines their
characters do not use. Tim will be generating Caitiff characters with random
sets of disciplines. The suggested games are Red Rover and Hide and Seek.
Masquerade Ball in February. I am still waiting to hear back from
Westminster College campus scheduling on the date we can have the building.
Should be within the next two weeks. Will be combined with Rising Sun raffle
fundraiser. Our plan is to charge an admission to cover our cost for holding
the event, any money generated above that will be split between chapter
funds and the charity. We will not be attempting to serve a full meal,
though a dessert buffet or dessert auction have been discussed.
Current Projects: Attendence at the Independent's Court continues to be
good. We will be conducting prestige reviews for those members who qualify
for MC advancement over winter break. I am planning to have them completed
by the time I start school again January 4th. Gary Corkins will be my
Prestige assistant and help me accomplish this goal.
Have confirmed a Tuesday in February with Westminster, should finalize this
week.
------------Report-------------
4. OUTSTANDING ISSUES
Prestige from the 9/11 help, as well as SWRE prestige still appears to be a
major concern on the part of most chapters. Hopefully, when we have the ARC
Prestige position problem taken care of, this can get out of the way.
5. CURRENT ISSUES
None at present.
6. PROBLEMS/SOLUTIONS
None at present.
7. QUESTIONS/CONCERNS
A great deal of backlogged reports came in from some of the later reporting
chapters. As this had nothing to do with this month's report timeframe, I
discarded them for later use and referral, if need be. Aside from that, the
ratio of chapters and domains reporting on time as opposed to reporting
late, or not at all, is unfortunately still as it has been.
------------Publications-------------
Current Projects:
The November/December issue of the Eternal Times has been
greatly delayed. This is due to some assignments not yet
finished. This issue will probably be released concurrently
with the January/February issue.
The January/February issue is in process with some most of
the writing assignments given out. This issue is planned to
be out sometime in February.
==============================
Problems:
The November/December issue is incomplete and has not been
released. This problem is being dealt with by the new
staff. Hopefully, new blood will help stimulate the
newsletter staff.
==============================
Questions:
None at this time.
==============================
Suggestions:
None at this time.
==============================
Comments:
The newsletter staff is in the process of changing over and
enlisting some new contributors. The direction of the
newsletter and the newsletter staff is still uncertain, but
we are still workign to make sure everything still gets
completed depite present delays.
------------Events/Charities-------------
Current Events:
Otay, this is a little shakey, next month will be so much better, but here's
what I have.
1. T.I.N.H.A.R.E. - This is the Tithe of Souls Domain event. It appears to
be shaping up nicely. Now before the whole thing starts over again, I am not
placing it in me report as a Regional event, simply an event that's
happening in the Region. This is a Domain level event that is shaping up to
be tremendous and have lots of people from all over the country. The games
are showing to be well thought out and they are going to have lots of
vendors and fun stuff. Be looking for this is the begining of June.
Current Charity Drive:
Okay, so we've got the decision made for how the charity drive will work,
we're just looking for an appropriate way to do it. We keep running into
rules which limit the ability to do this part of the job efficiently. At
this time this is what we've got. The first Regional Charity Drive will work
like this.
Dates: 01/01/2003-03/31/2003
Drive: Blood Drive
Prestige: 20 Regional, 5 Open. (Per Donation)
Stipulations: In order to be considered, you must have your submission into
me no later than April 15, 2003. When you donate you must list yourself as
donating for the Camarilla Fan Club along with your name. When submitting to
me, you must submitt
Your name:
Your Cam Number:
The Date of your Donation:
The name and location of the org. (For instance United blood services):
A working telephone # for the org:
You can also earn prestige by donating your time. If you help servce
cookies and jucie or help check people in then you may earn 15 Reional and 5
Open. To do this you would have to work no less than 3 hours prestige
submission and again you would have to provide all of the info listed below.
Your name:
Your Cam Number:
The Date(s) and Times you worked:
You would have to sign your name as a Cam Fan Club member.
The name and location of the org. (For instance United blood services):
A working telephone # for the org:
And yes there is one other way you can earn prestige. For a total possible
of 10 Regional and 5 Open per month you can transport 2+ Cam members to a
blood drive. For this you would have to submitt:
Your name:
Your Cam Number:
The Names & Cam Numbers of those you provided transportation to:
Your CC's contact information:
If you have any questions about this drive please feel free to contact me at
events@camarilla-sw.org and I'll answer them to the best of my ability.
SUMMARY
It's been a very quiet month, officially. I received Prestige
information from Sarah Despars and Christi Lawson-Bernacke, and of course my
own, but nothing from any of the other independent members.
2. OUTSTANDING ISSUES
None that I am aware of.
3. CURRENT PROJECTS
Locating any additional Independent members who are not on my report.
Contacting all of the Independent Chapters and opening communication with
them.
4. PROBLEMS/SOLUTIONS
Lack of contact information on some of the Independents in the Region.
As it appears members are no longer eligible for Prestige for attending
Chapter meetings other than their own, I am contemplating holding an IRC
"Chapter Meeting" for the Independent members of the region. The only
thing
holding me back right now is the inability to contact ALL of the Regional
Independent members.
5. QUESTIONS/CONCERNS
I am troubled greatly by Chris' decision in the matter between James
Webster and myself. Chris tells me that I conducted myself properly with
the exception of my telling James that I would no longer discuss the matter
in question. I have shared the discourse between myself and James with a
handful of people, some of whom hold positions on the National Staff, and
none of them feel I acted with misconduct in any way. I remain confused by
how Chris arrived at his conclusion -- one which punished both myself and
James -- especially as I was the one being publicly abused by James.
This matter has left me seriously contemplating my desire to remain in
the Club, and/or to contribute in any way to an organization that seems to
support members who abuse other members and the rules of the Club (both
in-and-out-of-game).
6. PRESTIGE RECOMMENDATIONS
None this month.
Summaries of CA chapter and domain reports
CAD-003 Domain of Myst (Reported 1/7/03) Rating: On Time, Good
Domain made up of 2 chapters and 30 members; no new/transferring/pending
members.
Last Domain Meeting: 11/9/02, Next Meeting: ??/??, No minutes
CURRENT SITUATION WITHIN THE DOMAIN:
Domain Newsletter
>Since Ive pushed the publication date back so many times, I now feel that
this should be realesed in conjunction with the Domains plan for a Winter
Ball. I have actually got some work on the newsletter done and should
(read:hope)have it done for handout at the Winter Ball Event.
Domain Game (Winter Ball)
>Location is now set as well as the exact date: Feb 7th-9th at the
travelodge in South SF. Current budget is small, but we are on track to have
a fairly large Event. Much thanks to the LA folks for their flexibillity and
willingness to compramise to have both a Northern and Southern Ball.
CAD-004 Black Magic Kingdom (Reported 1/7/03) Rating: On Time, Great
Domain made up of 2 chapters and 25 members; one new member. One officer
qualifies for MC advancement: Anthony Fuentes to MC 6. One officer
recommended for 100+ prestige; one officer recommended for regional
prestige.
Last Domain Meeting: 10/20/03, Next Meeting: 1/26/03, no meeting held for
holidays.
Comments:
-The Holy Quest (TM) is still on. The DC is wondering why he isn't in bed
yet...he has been up for almost two days doing reports and having crappy
days at work...he wants to kill everyone...including their PCs...by the way,
the DC quit smoking so his search for a game site has been put on hold...for
now...
-Guys like Gary Corkins and Chuck Childers should get paid for their jobs.
They actually read our reports and give responses back...I was speechless!
My hat comes to them.
Problems, Suggestions, Questions:
- Members of the Domain who participated in the 9/11/01 Blood Drive did not
receive prestige (or conformation). This was forwarded up the chain of
command earlier this month in the Sepulchre Chapter report. The members
would like to receive this prestige.
~~~~~RC Note: The information on who donated for the 9/11 blood drive is
currently on hiatus along with one of my ARCs who has this information. I
will again be attempting to contact her to obtain this information so it can
be sent up~~~~~
- There is always that rumor that the new 6.0 rules set will come out...any
truth to that Senator?
~~~~~RC Note: 6.0 rules set will not be out until all the venue 6.0 sets
are complete. Currently working on Vampire and Prime still needs to be
done.~~~~~
(No chapter meeting info given.)
Projects: "As part of the National Canned Food Drive, we are joining with
Legends &
Dreams to collect food donations at our games and contribute them to a local
charity. The Domain's Cooridinator Council has received applications from 3
indiviauls interested in the open DC position. We are hoping after the
holiday season to arrange meetings with the applicants before making a final
choice. Thanks again to out-going DC Chris Williams for his service to the
Domain!"
Problems: "All these holiday celibrations leave precious little time for
LARPing!"
Questions: "Can we expect an ARC:Prestige to be appointed soon and for
Prestige Reviews
to start up? Looking ahead it appears as if we will have an application for
an M13 going up in about 3 months."
~~~~~RC Note: the ARC Prestige position has been hired, but I am asking that
new audits not be sent up. We have currently a backlog of 14 audits that we
are trying to work through before opening up the floodgates.~~~~~

US2002023137 - MC 4
Last Chapter Meeting: 12/12/02, Next Meeting: 1/12/03
Minutes: Discussed info for holiday party, and chapter coordination.
Projects: Positional voting, canned food drive, discussion of chapter
bylaws.
Questions: "I am reiterating a querie that was brought to this section
of
last two months report. In 2000 - 2001, Jennifer Young WW# US2002022341 /
NPO9612158 was the Asst. Membership Development - Awards Coordinator
originally hired by Steve Balfour, then under the supervision of Shea Porr
before she became Pres. During that time in the position, positional
prestige was awarded, however artwork was created for the 1st (and Only - to
my knowledge) Heidi Preuss Member of the Year Award - which was was awarded
to Richard Chilton / Canada at ICC in Portland Oregon by Jennifer Young, and
never awarded prestige for the artwork itself, which was not included in her
position. The peice was a Gargoyle and was used. This award was presented
under Steve¹s term of Pres. and at that time I was under him directly as
the
Dir. of Membership Development was not in place yet. The Award presentation
was posted in the following requiem. This position was a national position
and thus the award was national/international that the artwork would be
concidered as such, as well. Please help, if possible?"
~~~~~RC Note: I recall answering this question in one of my previous
reports. Yes the award would be National, but it requires someone on the
National or higher staff to award it.~~~~~
Members: 23, no transferring members, no pending members. 1 member awaiting
US2002022529, MC 9)
Projects: "1) Membership 2) Chapter Newsletter 3) Game Sites"
Questions: "Prestige for SWRE2002 was done poorly. I am hoping to find
out
what the main reason for the problem was. What does the RC staff want from
my staff for SWRE2003 for volunteer prestige?"
~~~~~RC Note: Keep records of every single possible prestige worthy thing
someone does for SWRE. Keep backups of those records. After SWRE is over,
assign prestige and send it to my prestige team to look over, adjust and
approve. It then gets sent out. The better the record keeping, the more
accurate the prestige awards will be, and the likelihood of people not being
awarded for things they did in regards to SWRE~~~~~

CA-016 House of the Silver Crescent (Reported 1/1/2002) Rating: On Time,
Great
Members: 11, no transferring members, no pending members. No members
recommended for regional/national prestige.
Projects: "The eternal quest for an indoor site continues. Jacqui McKinney
is following a lead on a church. I had access to a vacant mobile home for a
few weeks but could not coordinate its use in time for the game
announcement--pity too, because the outdoor site we did have got quite cold.
A coffeehouse, and sites used by neighboring chapters are options but each
has its own difficulties. A chapter meeting should be more feasible now that
we are out of the holidays. Did not do my usual midmonth tracking and
pestering on prestige, which sadly shows in the number of people (not)
reporting."
Questions: "While tracking prestige is the members' responsibility, it
would
be
useful to have an outside database to track these in the event of records
lost or differing significantly during a transfer. Are there any plans for
such a master record?"
~~~~~RC Note: There are plans in the works for a website similar to the
MyCam Database~~~~~
Members: 19, no transferring members, no pending members. No members
recommended for regional/national prestige.
Last Chapter Meeting: 10/31/02, Next Meeting: ??/??; No minutes listed.
Current Projects: "Canned Food Drive, Clothing Drive, Blood Drive. This
month, we also gave a Christmas to a local family that would not otherwise
have one, in a joint effort with the other local chapters. Presents, a
Christmas dinner, gift certificates, and a car really helped the family in
their drive to get back on their feet."
Problems: "Continuing chapter records reconstruction. A few members are
unreachable at the moment to obtain their White Wolf numbers, and I have
contacted Member Services to try to obtain their numbers, as we are fairly
certain that they did register with White Wolf."
Questions: "When will an ARC Prestige be appointed? We have few members
who
are ready for their MC6 review, as we are an independent chapter, and are
sitting onto them until such time as an ARC is in place."
~~~~~RC Note: I just hired two people for the Prestige position. Once they
get through the backlog we will be putting a call out for audits to be
submitted. Look for it, and send them in then.~~~~~

CA-021 Moustique Noir (Reported 1/1/02) Rating: On Time, Good
Members: (had to be counted by list)37, no members transferring, no members
pending. No members recommended for regional prestige, 4 members recommended
for national prestige.
Last Chapter Meeting: 12/21/02, Next Meeting: 1/29/03
Minutes: "Our meeting was originally scheduled for December 18, however
it
was brought to
my attention that LoTR: Two Towers was opening that day. After last year's
meeting that was on the opening of Fellowship (and having 5 people show up),
we decided to hold the meeting on Tuesday December 17, instead.
Unfortunately, many of the necessary people required to hold said meeting
were unable to attend, so it was rescheduled (again) for Dec 21 prior to
game. Roo discussed the yahoo group and what behaviors were not appropriate
on it, a brief discussion of charities, the status of the domain, and
congratulations to Nick Toka and Joe Baker, newest members of the Moustique
Noir Staff. Floor was turned over to Aaron who briefly discussed rules
clarifications and newbie policies in game."
Projects: We held two Cam/Anarch venue games this month; unfortunately two
of our scheduled games were rained out due to not having our usual playing
space and it being just too damned cold and wet to play downtown. The normal
game stats have been lost due to Coordinator error. We'll just trust that
there were people at our games. Everyone has prestige logs! Finally! Roo is
still waiting for confirmation of the new San Rafael chapter's official
pending status. Until she receives word that they are an official pending
chapter, she is still keeping track of the prestige for those members who
are forming the San Rafael
chapter.
~~~~~RC Note: Their application has been received and they can begin
reporting, so they are a pending chapter now.~~~~~
Problems: "There is the matter of the National prestige from last year's
9/11 relief efforts. I
emailed the ANC-Prestige regarding this, and his response to me was: "The
SW
RC has not sent me a listing of prestige for approval for the 9-11 prestige
award." "
~~~~~RC Note: the 9/11 prestige listing is currently on hiatus along with
one of my ARCs who has the records. I will be making another attempt to
retrieve these records.~~~~~

playing with us and will be attending our next set of games. Also, I made
contact with an old member Tim Mclasin and invited him back to our games, he
said both himself and his girlfriend, Candy were thinking about coming back.
Through online resources and people who know people, I've emailed over 10
people in the Fresno area about joining our game. I'm really hoping they're
interested and we can see turn outs like we did when I first joined this
organization."

CA-023 Sepulchre (Reported 1/2/03) Rating: Late, Great

recommended for regional prestige, no members recommended for national
prestige. 1 member qualifies for MC advancement: Anthony Fuentes
(US2002021852) to MC 6
(No chapter meeting information)
Problems: "Members of the Chapter who participated in the 9/11/01 Blood
Drive did not recieve prestige. This was forwarded up the chain of command
in August. The members would like to recieve this prestige."
~~~~~RC Note: The list of members who donated blood for 9/11 is currently
on hiatus along with one of my ARCs. I will be making another attempt to
retrieve this information from her.~~~~~
Comments: "A recyclicable can drive has been started. The DC and the RC
have
approved 5 cans per point of prestige. No individuals outside the chapter
have contacted me for donations, the request for cans was sent out late in
November, so hopefully interest will pick up. It is the sincere hope that
enough money can be raised to place a deposit for an indoor site. The holy
quest for a Cam/Anarch location is still ongoing. This CC regrets to inform
her peers that a case of dreadful illness (otherwise known as the flu) has
rendered her witless. A very good location was proposed by a member of
Sepulchre and this CC cannot remember the location to save her life. The
members of Sepulchre are most displeased with the CC because the member who
proposed the site has been rendered incapable of speech due to a slight case
of insanity and won't repeat himself. Until such time as the CC remembers or
the member starts talking we are back at square one."
Last Chapter Meeting: 12/17/02, Next Meeting: 1/31/03
Minutes: "Very low attendance for this month's meeting. (Erick, Oscar,
Ryan,
Matthew and myself) Hopefully next month we will have a better turn out.
Discussed plot and approvals for Cam/Anarch, Garou, and Sabbat. Erick
discussed a few problems he is having with the Black Magic Kingdom domain,
but is still trying to work with them. The major issues seems to be that
members of this chapter are holding power positions in the "Orange County"
games. Hopefully Erick will be able to resolve these issues. Ryan was
appointed an ACC. He will be the CC on hand at games that I cannot attend.
His scedule has opened up and said he had no problem showing up to all the
various games and events. Note: I feel that a CC presence is necessary at
all functions, just in case. We discussed the issues of not having an ARC
Prestige as Erick is due for his MC7 audit. I told him that Sarah was
finishing the interview process and would have a new ARC Prestige soon. I
also told Erick that his audit may take some time as there is a backlog of
members waiting to be audited.
Problems: "I would like to see the regional website updated. The chapter
status pages shows us in the red and that our last report was January 2002.
Do we have an ARC Website? If so, what is their email? As mentioned in the
minutes, a few members have MC reviews and would like an
idea of when they will be done. (I asked them to give the new ARC Prestige a
bit of time to get going.)
~~~~~RC Note: I'll hound my web guy to start updating stuff more on the
website, it's something I've been hastling him about and it's the one part
of the website he's been avoiding. As far as the ARC Prestige bit. I've
hired one and once we get through the backlog an announcement will be made
announcing who they are and that people can flood them with their
audits.Well, not flood, but at least start sending them in.~~~~~
Questions: "I have the same questions as every member...When is the tome
going to be ready?When are the new rules going to go into effect? What can
we expect of and from White-Wolf in 2003?"
~~~~~RC Note: The new Tome will go into effect once it has finished being
revised and edited. The 6.0 rules system will go into effect at some point
after Vampire and Prime are finished. ~~~~~
Last Chapter Meeting: 12/14/02, Next Meeting: 01/11/03
Minutes: "It has been recommended that CC's start including what sort of
social interaction their chapter has outside of game. Aside from Derrick,
Eben, and myself, all of my chapter members live with another chapter
member. Also, they all live within one square mile of each other. This leads
to a whole lot of non-game related interaction. It's a strange time where I
or any of my members goes more than a week without seeing each other. On
average, various groups will have dinner with each other I'd guess at least
twice a week. We play games, see movies, and hang out. This is unlikely to
change. I really can't claim any sort of credit for this, but you did say
you wanted to know what we did as a chapter."
Current Projects: "As noted last month, I filed the paperwork for the
Questions: "As per last month- My CST claimed 59 National Prestige for
on-time reports. I have no idea what this is about, and have yet to speak
with him about it. If someone could let me in on what this is, it'd be much
appreciated.
~~~~~RC Note: I do believe that is an amazingly outrageous award for
on-time reporting. The person who would best answer what your CSTs
appropriate award is would be Michelle Webb and Cathryn Emerson. They can
be reached at usnst@jyhad.net and ANC-Prestige@cfl.rr.com .~~~~~
Also- as noted above, I have two members who have the requisite prestige for
MC 6, pending a review. I haven't really bothered to file the papers, as
Mica (?) stepped down, and there is no one doing prestige reviews at the
moment. I will submit these when someone is there to read them."
~~~~~RC Note: I currently have 2 active ARC: Prestige who are very busy
going through the backlog of audits that have been sitting since Mica went
on hiatus. At this current time we are not accepting new audits. Soon as
we get through all of this, an announcement will be made about the position
and that audits are being accepted again. I appreaciate your patience in
this matter~~~~~
Minutes: "We have yet to hear anything definitive back from the CC of
Monsters Under the Bed on the possible problems associated with Jim's
request to have MUtB games in his apartment in SF, and their past expression
of unhappiness with us running games in Charlie's apartment in Union City.
We still don't care, as long as both chapters get to play by the same rules.
A brief discussion concerning the fact that the CC of Monsters Under the Bed
has brought up informally to at least one chapter member that her chapter is
not happy with us running Cam/Anarch on the 4th Saturday night. Chapter
members would rather not conflict, but firmly believe that both chapters
need to have a schedule that fits the needs of their own chapter
members. The opinion was expressed by one member that since MUtB left the
Domain it is hypocritical for them to ask for the perks of being in the
domain without having do deal with the downsides."
Questions: "Who other than the NCs and ANCs, who can award National
prestige? Specifically, can an AMST, GSAs, and the DoIrc award National
prestige?"
~~~~~I believe the AMST currently recommends prestige, as does the GSA and
does not hold the power to award prestige. The DoIRC can and does award
National prestige for the IRC Ops~~~~~
Comments: "Members who did charity work at the SF Food Bank in November

Questions: "The SWR website shows that no March report was recieved from
us,
and no prestige awarded. According to my records, and the list records, the
report was recieved on April 23, albeit being 22 days late. Is it possible
to have that noted on the website, to be accurate, and is it possible to
recieve prestige for being that late? I've also sent up my prestige for
review for MC 6...As I earn more prestige should I send in a revised
prestige log? I'd think not as it would simply add more bulk to the
processing and audits turn over more quickly than would be prudent to send
in updates, but just want to make sure."
~~~~~RC Note: if you could re-send the March report to the us-sw-reports
list, I'm sure Aaron can make sure prestige is awarded for receiving the
report and that it will get noted on the website when CC/DC prestige is
updated again.~~~~~
CA-042 Sangria de Lago (Reported 12/31/02) Rating: Early, Good
Members: 15, no transferring members, no pending members. No members
recommended for regional/national prestige.
Last Chapter Meeting: 12/13/02; Next Meeting: 1/10/03
Minutes: 1. We discussed reponsibility and accountability of our words and
actions. After a certain situation occured at our first game I had to remind
people that our words can have a negative effect. It was agreed that in the
future if the parties cannot agree there will be levels of disciplinary
action.
2. We discussed how the prestige logs are kept and how the member themselves
are involved in the process.
3. We discussed the problem of the domain. Until we are out of probation
(End of Jan, 2003) we cannot become a domain. There was a question of domain
level NPCs in the games. That situation is covered by the RST and I will
recieve verification at a later date.
4. The ACC of Charities and Fundraising reminded the members of the pull
tabs, box tops, and soup labels. The beaded clan pins are also for sale
still.
5. The CST staff brought up several issues. a. Announcements will now be put
on paper and
available for the members to read on their own. b. Any disruptive OOC
complaining about rules
will be punished by xp docking and can result in desanctioning if too
frequent. c. Backrounds are due by the Jan. 10 at the chapter meeting.
6. CST or CST presence during the entire game is necessary regardless of the
activity level at any time. There were several complaints that when a
situation came up there were no storytellers available and one had to be
found. The ST staff agreed that there will be at least one available at any
time for each location.
Current Projects:As usual we have two games each month, every first and
third Friday. Chapter meetings are every second Friday. We are also trying
to support the other chapter in our domain by attending as many of their
games as possible. ACC- Lindsey is creating beaded clan pins at 4$ each to
support a local charity, the chapter, as well as SWRE 2003. If there
is any interest contact toreador_samantha_spade@yahoo.com. We are also
looking into more charities in our community to support.
~~~~~RC Note: the pins sound interesting, and I would be interested in
seeing a picture of one. Are any online?~~~~~
Problems: I have recived the prestige log of Craig Johnson. I still request
his number from anyone who may have it. How do I go about finding it?
~~~~~RC Note: His Cam # is US2002023522~~~~~
Questions: 1. We have members who referred others to become members. All of
these members have had their numbers for a while.Can I award the prestige
(10 open) for these people still (its been a while)? I ask this question
again because I recived an answer that was
confusing.
Minutes: Fund Raisers - Food donation to feed families: Flyers and bags left
on doors with time and date of return to pick up food for local shelters.
(can earn up to 40 open and 10 national prestige for help in this project)
Goal for the three months is at least 300 meals. That will give ten members
their full prestige that can be awarded. If we fall short, I will redact any
prestige awards. If we go over, and other members wish to participate,
further changes will be forthcoming.
Have talked with Moonlight Masquerade CA012 about getting the 2nd Saturday
of the month and the 1-11-03 is provisional upon approval of CA012 giving up
this weekend. This also gives their ST team more time to play and less
likelihood of burnout. We are attempting to begin the formation of a
possible Domain by the ST teams working together.
Problems:
Current dispute between CC (myself) and former ARC reports Peter Savas,
being arbitrated. This has been resolved.
Soren Thompson US2002023176 for actions unbecoming a member of the
Camarilla. I have suspended him for numerous acts against the Code of
conduct unbecoming of a member beginning Jan 12th 2003 for one month to
begin and waiting for longer determination with the RC.
Questions:
Again 9-11 tragedy prestige has been posted for every region but ours. When
are these going to be posted? I know that Mica Has quit the Camarilla but it
is coming up upon a year since it was stated that they would award such.
~~~~~RC Note: The list of SW members who participated in the 9/11 drive is
currently on hiatus with one of my ARCs. I will be attempting to contact

CA-045 False Reflections (Reported 1/4/03) Rating: Late, Great
Members: 14, no transferring members, 1 new member. No members recommended
for regional/national prestige.
Last Chapter Meeting: 12/21/02, Next Meeting: 1/29/03
Minutes: Our meeting was originally scheduled for December 18, however it
was brought to my attention that LoTR: Two Towers was opening that day.
After last year's meeting that was on the opening of Fellowship (and having
5 people show up), we decided to hold the meeting on Tuesday December 17,
instead. Unfortunately, many of the necessary people required to hold said
meeting were unable to attend, so it was rescheduled (again) for Dec 21
prior to game. Roo discussed the yahoo group and what behaviors were not
appropriate on it, a brief discussion of charities, the status of the
domain, and congratulations to Nick Toka and Joe Baker, newest members of
the Moustique Noir Staff. Floor was turned over to Aaron who briefly
discussed rules clarifications and newbie policies in game.
Current Projects:
We held two Cam/Anarch venue games this month; unfortunately two of our
scheduled games were rained out due to not having our usual playing space
and it being just too damned cold and wet to play downtown. The normal game
stats have been lost due to Coordinator error. We'll just trust that there
were people at our games.
This month was low on activity due to many of our members being out of town
visiting their families during the holidays.
Starting in Jan. and continuing into the New Year, I will be organizing
volunteer days. Some of my members have expressed an interest in
volunteering for the local Humane Society, and they currently have a large
demand for bodies. The first date will be announced soon.
Problems: None
Questions:None
Suggestions: None.
Comments: It was recently brought to my attention that in my previous
reports Brian Fallehy was marked as having completed ordeals. This was a
mistake, and has been fixed. Currently there is a possibility that part of
Mike Lancaster's prestige report was misplaced in his transfer from
Moustique Noir. I am looking into this.

review, Juliet Kari, US2002021217 MC 7 & 8 currently under review, Sharry
Morrison, US2002022443 MC 7 currently under review. 2 members recommended
for 100+ prestige, 1 member recommended for national prestige.
Last Chapter Meeting: 12/29/02, Next meeting: 1/26/03
Minutes: We all celebrated the fact that we finally received our Chapter
number. I provided a copy of the letter of understanding to the chapter
members that were present so that they could go over it before I agreed to
be speaking for all of them. Everyone at the meeting seemed in agreement
that there was nothing out of order in the letter of understanding as all of
the things requested were stuff that we should all know about from the
tome.Bryan has offered his house in place of the former alternative when
Pete & Juliet need a break from us using their place. Pete announced that
we
were approved for a Sabbat Venue and we will be holding our 1st Sabbat game
Friday January 3rd, 2003. We are all pretty sure there will be a good draw
to this as Sacramento is already an established Sabbat area. To begin we
will be running one Sabbat game per month on the 1st Friday. If demand is
high we will go to two Sabbat games per month. Those being the 1st and 3rd
Fridays. We currently hold our Cam/Anarch games on the 1st and 3rd
Saturdays. Changeling is also currently being held on the 3rd Saturday
afternoon. Bryan is still trying to gather support for his Mage Venue. He
has a quite a few troupe players attend and he is trying to recruit them for
the Cam. He would like to see more Morbid members turn out. We began serious
discussion of chapter by-laws. The website is up and running, and the
Changeling and Sabbat VSS's have been updated. It will continue to be
updated as Pete has time. Our Grand Island Mansion event is also now up on
the website. We will soon be setting up a pay-pal account so that people can
reserve their rooms and pay for the entry fee. Game is still scheduled for
12-6-03. We are locked into this date as we have already paid the $500
deposit to hold the place. Everyone is eager to do their part and help to
make the event memorable. Juliet would like to add a calendar of events to
the website as well as a section for IC photos and positions. At this time
everyone was asked if they had anything further to bring up and only Paul
had additional input. He would like people to start turning in their
influences in a timely manner. So, he doesn't have to keep tracking everyone
down and hounding them.
Questions: When can we expect our MC audits to come through from the region?
~~~~~RC Note: my new ARCs are plugging away at them but there is quite a
backlog, but I expect the backlog should be cleared out in a month's
time~~~~~
Last Chapter Meeting: 12/27/02, Next Meeting: 1/10/03
Minutes: The meeting was spent determining various storytelling issues.
Cam/Anarch and Garou LARP venues were decided on for the time being (in
addition to our regularly schedules table-top games). PC areas of control
and positions were decided on. Verne (CST) and I are going to get together
in the next couple of weeks to start tracking down the info he needs to get
the story setting in place. We decided to try to aim our first "big"
(meaning more than just us) in late Feb. or early March, which would allow
us to bolster interest at the Los Angeles Winter Court games. Michael has
asked for submissions for the web page. He has the basics set up and just
needs materials to post.
Questions: Is there ARST and or ARC in charge of independent chapters? If
so, can you please pass on the contact info. My CST will need help since he
is setting everything up from scratch.
Ran a charity drive for the chapter this month and next. Chapter members are
donating time to the children's hospital. The New CC is moving, or at least
he said he is, also we should be getting some more players soon (after the
holidays cash is normally low)
Comments:
I sent up my MC to regional for my MC 6 confirmation in September. I haven't
heard anything back about it, I am not sure how long this whole thing takes
but it has been a month thus far. Though I have heard rumors that there
should be more ARC's in charge of Prestige.
We are going to be donating this month to the HIV/AIDS awareness foundation.
I believe we will also be attending a Roleplaying Con in Junction with 2 of
the other chapters here in San Diego soon. I think the Con may bring more
members to the Camarilla and I look forward to mentoring some of the kids
there.
