----------RC Summary: Questions, Comments, Concerns---------

Well I have 2 positions opening up on my staff. ARC: Mentor and ARC: Reports. I will have them filled hopefully by the next reporting cycle for the CCs and DCs. *hope*hope*hope*

I’d like to welcome Pete Houtekier to my staff as ARC: Publications…I anxiously await what he will do with the newsletter.

Between chapter and domain apps, things have hit a high level of insanity. While I’m usually fairly on top of them, at this second I couldn’t tell you what chapters and domains I’ve sent recommendations on and which ones I haven’t. It’s a bit hectic and such.

I’d also like to announce a great new website, and send a great many thanks to Wes Contreras for building it and adapting it to include our region. Eventually I hope to have all the Regional Prestige awarded in the SW on the website. Most of it is up and more is being added almost every day! http://www.antitribu.com/prestige/index.php

I would like to say Thanks for all the Amazing work to Michelle Webb, Aaron Atencio, and Shawn Jackson. It’s been great and you’ll be missed!

To all of you CCs and DCs out there….This is my challenge to you: I want to see each and every last one of you report for the same month. I want to see 100% reporting! I know you all can do it! If you all manage to report by at least the 10th, I convert HALF of your Admin prestige for Coord duties to Regional. If you all manage to report early or on-time, I’ll make the whole award Regional. I believe in you, and I know you can do it!

---------- Chapter and Domain Questions and Concerns----------

AZ-003-I

We were denied on our domain application. As ACC of communications Jonni has been working with the RC to rectify the situation.

~~~~~RC Note: I have yet to speak with Jonni on the matter though I look forward to resolving the issues.~~~~~
AZ-008-C
As Ben Wintersteen's prestige review has not yet been completed, would it be
possible to send up the most recent logs and get him reviewed for MC 10
instead of MC 9? And still have him in the same order on the waiting list?
His cumulative total is sitting at 4437, which is just over MC 10.
~~~~~RC Note: As of this report Ben Wintersteen has been approved for MC 9. If you feel he has the prestige to warrant MC 10, please send it up the chain.~~~~~

CA-016-C

Will Regional prestige be given for helping to promote SWRE, such as passing
out flyers to gaming stores, getting the word out? Many members have been
asking about this and the possibility of it being regional.

~~~~~RC Note: It’s a possibility. But much of it is up to the Promotions lead in making sure that the recommendations are tracked and reported after SWRE~~~~~
CA-018-C
Any suggestions for game food? We're starting to run low on ideas that are
relatively cheap and feed large quantities.
~~~~~RC Note: Depends on how much effort you are willing to put into it. There are pizzas for little to no effort. Or easy dessert stuff like Rice Krispy Treats which is mostly butter, Rice Krispies and marshmallows. If you are willing to put more effort into it, buy some bread, some lunch meat, and a few condiments and make sandwiches…take each sandwich and cut it into 4 little triangles…4 sandwiches for the cost of 1….Always the oldies but goodies of Hamburgers, Hot Dogs, and chips.~~~~~

CA-022-D

Where is it I send the VSSs so they can get approved?

~~~~~RC Note: I believe they get placed on the Storyteller Approval Database, but I’m not a Storyteller, so I’m really not sure. This would be a better question to ask the RST.~~~~~
CA-027-D
The only question is, any idea how long the turn around time is for Domain
applications?
~~~~~RC Note: Approximately one month~~~~~

CA-030-C

We wanna start pre-registering for SWRE!! When do we get to?

~~~~~RC Note: SWRE pre-registration should be out shortly~~~~~
CA-042-C
1. We have a member who is an ACC as well as an ADC, as well as a member who was an ACST and an ADST. It is my understanding that holding both positions is acceptable and that these people should be able to accept prestige for it. The cap in each is 30 which, at most gives them 60 which is under the cap of 80. I want to make sure that it is right to give them the prestige they earned for both jobs.
~~~~~RC Note: Yep!~~~~~

2. The CC Report for March was late and turned in around the time that the April report was turned in. Does the CC not get any prestige for the late report?

~~~~~RC Note: It may have been mixed up as being 2 copies of the same report. Forward the report to rc@camarilla-sw.org and I’ll get the prestige award backdated.~~~~~
CA-043-D
9-11-01 prestige is not up. Who can we help prod on the national staff to
return this to our region so that we can have this puppy put to bed.
~~~~~RC Note: A compiled list based on chapter reports has been sent to the ANC: Prestige Cathryn Emerson. I’m sure she’ll post them as soon as she can review them and put them on the website.~~~~~

CA-046-C

I may have already asked this but I’m not sure. Pete Houtekier and Juliet Kari donated blood back in October for the regional blood drive who are not showing up on the awards list yet. I contacted events address sometime ago but have not gotten any resolution yet. Any suggestions?

~~~~~RC Note: If you have not received a response, send another email to events@camarilla-sw.org and to rc@camarilla-sw.org containing the original donation information.~~~~~
CA-052-D
-Are all reports, regardless whether they are Domain or Chapter are due on the 1st now? The DC saw some Domain Status reports out on the first and was worried that this might be considered late. Or is this still due by the 7th?
~~~~~RC Note: Domain Reports are due on the 7th of each month~~~~~

CA-054-D

I do not have the cam number of Lance Hoffman, though he purchased
one. Is there a way to dig this out of somewhere?

~~~~~RC Note: Contact Member Services at memberservices@white-wolf.com ~~~~~
CA-056-D
Where is DC prestige listed? I know the CC’s is on the Regional report. But, I couldn’t tell where the DC’s was. I also am still not sure about CC’s within a domain is it listed in the same spot on the regional report?
~~~~~RC Note: Coordinators of Independent Chapters and Domains are listed in my report. Prestige for Coordinators within Domains is to be awarded by the DC, not the RC, and should be included in the Domain report.~~~~~

CA-061-P

What process do I need to undertake once I have the numbers for a domain?

~~~~~RC Note: fill out the Domain Application found at http://camarilla.white-wolf.com/usnc/documents.php and send it to us-chapters@diablerie.net, camcoordinator@white-wolf.com, southwestrc@earthlink.net, and nightxgaunt@earthlink.net ~~~~~
What resources would you suggest for a new CC?
~~~~~RC Note: the Regional and International Coordinator’s lists can be invaluable tools. There are lots of information located on the sw region website as well as many of the national websites. I would advise checking out Peter Savas’ Coordinator Tracking Utility.~~~~~

NV-006-C

I sent in the information for Curtis Reynolds and awaiting
the number. As I have not received it yet, I will not include him in this
report. He does not have ready access to e-mail and so has not been able to
tell me if his number has come in. If anyone can help me by getting me his
number or how I can find it I would greatly appreciate it. (2) I have
another member, Ian Hayes, who has not even received a message from Member
Services. His information is as follows: Pending (order #313453426210343).
His e-mail address is ianhayes110@yahoo.com. (3) I am not including either
of these people in my reports until I have their numbers.

~~~~~RC Note: Contact Member Services at memberservices@white-wolf.com to obtain their Numbers.~~~~~
NV-008-D
What is the process for opening up new VSS's within the venue?
What is the process for making changes to existing VSS's.
~~~~~RC Note: these questions should be directed towards the RST.~~~~~

When can we expect the Elections for RC of the SW region to take place?

~~~~~RC Note: September~~~~~
UT-013-I
How do I go about filing a "grievance" for arbitraition out?
~~~~~RC Note: Grievances no longer exist. If you wish to move from step one of Dispute Resolution to Step 2, send a letter as outlined in the Tome to the lowest level officer supervising both members in dispute. If I have misunderstood your question, please send me a private email at rc@camarilla-sw.org more fully explaining your question.~~~~~

----------ARC Publications----------

Current Projects:
The March/April issue will be the final issue for the current ARC
Publications. He wishes to take leave of his position and attend to
other matters.

A new ARC Publications has been named, and he is Pete Houtekier. The
former ARC Publications approved of his qualifications and the SW RC
Sarah Despars has appointed him to be part of the SW Regional staff.
All matters will now be taken up by him.

Currently, a CD-ROM of all of the files from the out-going ARC
Publications will be mailed out to Mr. Houtekier. Another CD with
updated information will be sent later after the current issue has
been taken care.

Mr. Houtekier has also been made moderator of the Eternal Times
newsletter e-mail list. Once the final transitions are made, he will
be made owner of the list.
==============================
Problems:
Again, late projects from submitting members have delayed this latest
issue. It will not be ready by the time of this report, as was
anticipated. Instead, the out-going ARC Publications make all efforts
to finish the project by the end of the month.

==============================
Questions:
None at this time.

==============================
Suggestions:

==============================
Comments:
The transition period from the old ARC to the new ARC is not as
smooth or timely as it should be. Time restraints and personal issues
have distracted the out-going ARC to communicating better with the
new ARC publications and others on staff. However, the most
significant item to note would be under the Problems section.

And this is a message to the rest of the SW RC staff:
"It's been fun while it lasted. Don't screw up, have fun, and forget
everything else because it's all just a game. Late necks!"

Current Charity Drive:

From the dates of April 1, 2003 to June 30, 2003. We are running a welcome to summer toy drive. That's right, it's not Christmas and we're looking for toys for the little ones. Basic idea works like this. There's going to be three stages in this drive, I know you'll have questions, feel free at any level to ask and I'll help you out. Here's the stages:

Stage 1 (The members):

Go out and buy toys! No really, it's that easy! I suggest toys that relate to summer, water guns, balloons, slip & slides, waiting pools. Things of this nature. Now, any toys that you purchase and are still in the package will do, but they will have varying levels of prestige. Obviously, a slip & slide is going to go for more than a package of balloons. Take the toys that you get, give them to your CC, and he'll tally things up for you. Look in the June report (that comes out in July) for your prestige per month to be listed.

Stage 2 (The CC's): Ok guys, this one's going to require a little work from you. What we're going to need is you to find a local shelter/Org. That you can donate the toys to. I haven't seen a shelter/org. Yet that doesn't have needy children and they could use some fun as well. And as we're a club built on having fun, why not spread the love? You'll need to find a local shelter/org. To donate to, tally what you're member give you. This is easy...

Member name, Cam number, and what the donated.

Tally this up and email it to me, and we start sending out the prestige. Now just because you're tallying things doesn't mean you can't donate. Jump right in, go to your local shelter/org. and donate the toys on behalf of the Cam. Write down the info on the shelter/org. You donated to and send it in the email:

Shelter/org. name, Address, Phone number.

Stage 3 (Charity guy):

At the end of the three months I'll tally up all of your donations, asign value to them, and award prestige as a result. In the June report I'll list your prestige and your CC's can record it at that time.

That's it, it's simple and easy and we're providing a service for a bunch of children that really need your love. So reach deep, if not for the kids, because we here at Regional are once again bribeing you to do it.

I would like the CC's to promote this at their local games so that the word gets out. Not everyone reads this report and word of mouth is the only way to get it around.

If you have any questions about this drive please feel free to contact me at events@camarilla-sw.org and I'll answer them to the best of my ability.
