1. SUMMARY - 

The changing of guard for this office took place a mere two weeks ago and I am sufficiently pleased with the results thus far. Audits are being completed and the team is learning to work together. While not all of the on-call auditors are responding, I am confidant that in the next month, there will be a definite refinement of the operations of the Member Review Office.

Gave Shayne Cooley reports necessary to rebuild member’s prestige records.
 
Current project:  Working on getting reports out of old files for sw-region. I have dug up RC reports back to January of 2000.  They should be ready to go up near the end of February, as they will need to be edited for privacy concerns.  Once this is done, converting the reports from Oct 03 to present to word format will commence.
 
Ran into a snag as my Office XP 2003 stopped working and I had to revert back to office 2000 until I resolve this problem.  This is an FYI and only a minor problem. Sorry about being one day late, had a late night with my critters PTA last night and the last thing I wanted to do was get on the computer.

For the first quarter of 2005, we'll hold a Regional clothing drive.  Also a blood drive for the year.  I'm hoping to see an increase in participation for the regional charity drives, especially with ICC taking place in October in Phoenix.



2.  PROBLEMS/SOLUTIONS

Problem

I still haven't seen any prestige awarded for backdated charity drives included in my last report.  I still have several people asking about this, and am concerned with the possibility of people losing the prestige they've earned.

There are several members listed in Prestige Recommendations, if there are people missing then send this list of people to the Regional Charities Office, also send in any information regarding the confirmation from the Regional Office that set the standards, qualifications and pre-approved prestige award numbers.


3. QUESTIONS/CONCERNS

None at this time other than awarding backdated prestige.  I would appreciate a response regarding the award of prestige so I can tell people about backdated charity donations.

Again, I have had a difficulty in finding information regarding the regional sponsorship of these former charities, if you could submit this information to the Charities office we can go about awarding the necessary prestige awards.

Still working on updating the contact information of all the chapter information. Nathan Pulley is the contact on that project.
 
Getting really old reports to the website and creating an online archive of those said reports. Currently the reports are with Chris Williams for review since they contain sensitive information such as disciplinary actions etc.
 
SW Region Prestige DB is still being worked on but I have not heard from Lisa for quite some time. I'll send her another email or IM and bug her about it.
 
iCamarilla: still waiting to hear back from National about this. I am getting a lot of emails from folks about it but nothing from National. Is anyone up there managing this at all? Perhaps I'll pull some strings now that I'm the webmaster for the TT development team and get something done but I do not want to step on any toes.

RC Report for November and RST Report for December were put online.
 
New member review standard operating procedures were put online.
 

Several members were asking to view pages of the old website. I setup a mirror of that site at http://www.rack-networks.com/swregion/old_site. Actually I had the mirror sitting around for a long time. Most of the old site is there. If the links are broken please don't ask me. I cannot do anything better than what's already there.

Reminder from Damon: many folks’ memberships expired yesterday – and many of them haven’t renewed.  Please get your renewals in ASAP (general discussion on when various memberships expired to clear up confusion). Prestige database will be moving to new servers shortly, which should reduce downtimes on the site, as well as the Tithe website as a whole moving. Remember, it is your responsibility to keep track of your prestige & submit items – keep your own copies up to date as well.

Folks please remember if you come to games late, you’re still responsible to sign in/check in & pay if you’re going to play.  It keeps us having somewhere to play.  Please be on your best behavior here (at this site) today, because Kiel is the individual who’s secured it for us, but he hasn’t been to games in a while.
Speaking of game sites, we need sites!  Please get information to Jen Boyd or Charmain (or Vicki) if you can help with this.

>From Char: We’ll be having our usual presence at the sci-fi conventions this year, and are working with Ivan at ConEvents – their convention this summer will be running sanctioned White Wolf events – so will essentially be our ‘regional event’ this year.  No word yet from national about further details for ICC (but you might think about booking rooms at the hotel).

>From Brad: Regional charity drives are blood & clothing; domain level drives are clothing, blood, and canned/non-perishable food. Please participate.

Discussion on possible fundraiser for Tsunami relief, looking for ideas & volunteers.

>From Harley:  Charles has stepped down as Requiem VST.  Mage is also in need of a VST although Joe Manfrida has been doing well at holding things together in the interim.  Harley intends to run the games on the new VSS (not the one we’ve seen before) for about 3 months, to give the domain a chance to form the game a bit before dumping it on a new VST.  He will send a request for letters of intent for both venues shortly.

>From Bosco:  Voiced concern (echoed by several) that we’re trying to start a game with no inter-character relationships.  General discussion on possible solutions & ideas, folk are encouraged to build relationships while we’re getting things up & running.

>From Char: Please be on the lookout for a silver colored metal tray with gold colored handles – the apartment management believes it was here before the social, but hasn’t seen it since.

1. Domain Games: Our first (1st) game for the new chronicle was scheduled for 01/08/05.  Nine (9) Camarilla Members attended the event.  Our second game was held on 01/22/05.  Fifteen (15) Camarilla Members were in attendance with one (1) returning member who intends to renew his membership.

 2. Soft role-play and other interactions continue on the Domain IC Message Board - "House Drakkon."  All characters that are allowed to participate have received approval from the Domain Storyteller, Anthony Grant (US2002034054)

 3. New Chronicle Background Development: This final version of the history of the Central Valley has been completed, however we will continue to update this with new character information as new PC's are developed and introduced into play.

Meeting about game attendance,  mage, garou, changeling, requiem.  People have not been attending any of the games.  The people who have been made main characters should be in attendance.  Why?  We need a good deal of notice so the people can get off of work in advance. Why aren’t we getting attendance?

Advice for getting the people back, Phone Tree?  Web site, how to set up schedule, what can we do to get the others back?  Why does tabletop work and not larp?  Loren is running a tabletop, 6 or 7 show for that.  The rules are different they are easier to understand, central location, attendance is better.  Hopefully it can be scheduled so they don’t coincide with other games.  If they don’t understand the game, we should try and take the time to explain the rules.  How about a social with the game demo, we can do small semi-scripted scenes.  Saturday 26th at 1:00pm we will have the social at our house.  The 12th will also have an early demo at 6:30 the game at 8:30. The 11th it will be at Becky’s or ours the Sabbat troop game.  The 12th will be at SDSU.  Spam lists with the P-Lost Web-site and the schedule for the games.  The need to get a good game for the people to participate. IRC is a possibility, New recruits, get the message out with fliers, and get them exposed to the game.  The people need to get to know us.  Be friendly.  We need to identify the people who want to play.  Michael Medinger will send a flier to help the group moving.

Equestrian therapy for the handicapped has asked for volunteers. We’ve taken this opportunity to gain some community service prestige.

Finding a new site. The U of U site we currently have is about to close for remodeling. I am getting mixed reports as to the availability of the site.

William Moles (US2003122617) had to be issued an official warning about his conduct on a sanctioned e-mail list by the list moderator, Chris DiAngelo on 1/06/04. Shortly after, I issued another official warning for his behavior during a game.  I issued the warning without realizing the proximity of the dates.  Mr. Moles has apologized publicly for his behavior on the list.  However, on 1/22/05 Mr. Moles again had several arguments with an ST during a game and I eventually issued a 2-week suspension which will end at 11:59PM 2/07/05.

1. I am still awaiting final approval on prestige review for Anthony "Tony" Grant, US2002034054, MC9; Domain review completed August 6, 2004.  Awaiting final approval for MC9.  Please contact me so that we can conclude this review process - Awaiting update since August of 2004.

2. We are still awaiting the coordination of our Domain Storyteller election.  No recent updates as this time.  I have contacted Anna Quinn (SWARC) and Chris Williams (SWRC), no additional information received from regional elections officers.

3. We have several members whose membership expires this month.  I will be contacting those members via e-mail to verify whether or not they will be renewing their membership through the month of January 2005.  The primary reason for this lapse is that members believe their membership was good until the end of 01/2005.

4. I am still awaiting an update from Harold Hulbert SW-RAO Independents (US2002021065), regarding my own prestige review.  I will contact him again for verification and clarification.
