II. Summary of the Month:

The goal of the South West Regional Coordinator’s office is to open the prestige queue and have audits run through smoothly so that the members of the South West Region may be awarded the membership classes that they have earned.

	PROBLEMS/SOLUTIONS:      Prestige was awarded for the month of December 2004.  I still haven't seen any prestige awarded for backdated charity drives included in my last report.  I still have several people asking about this, and am concerned with the possibility of people losing the prestige they've earned.  Charity prestige for the months of August thru November still hasn’t been awarded, and I can only assume that it won't be awarded at this point.  As I've asked several times about this, and have put them in my December report, I'd appreciate some feedback. From the RC: Any and all individuals due awards that are not listed in a Regional Report must be resubmitted by the end of May, they will all be awarded at that time and any and all Regionally Sponsored charities or drives will then be strictly monitored, in our drive to log and track how much we as a community do to support our Region and the charities within it.

	COMMENTS: The changing of guard for this office took place a mere two weeks ago and I am sufficiently pleased with the results thus far. Audits are being completed and the team is learning to work together. While not all of the on-call auditors are responding, I am confidant that in the next month, there will be a definite refinement of the operations of the Member Review Office.

The following projects are ongoing: Creating and maintaining an accurate database of South West Region members who are membership class 9+. Access for all DCs and CCs within the iCamarilla database.

CA-046-C Morbid Curiosity	Problems: Membership. It’s still my goal to have 5 additional members by the end of the year. However, it was discussed at the last Domain meeting the possibility of folding the two chapters and just being a Chapterless Domain. Hence, I feel as though any recruitment should wait until this particular decision is resolved. Also, there might be an issue of bad blood. The other chapter may not wish to fold. Naturally, the procedure would be all the members voting on this decision and, I’m sure, the majority would decide the Domain’s fate. Any “bad blood” between the members in the Domain might be escalated over this issue. This would be an unfortunate event. Also, there is an issue of better communication. I’d like to see better communication within the chapter. However, I believe that this comment is directed at myself. I shall improve my communication with the DC starting immediately. I think that the accuracy of the chapter reports will vastly improve. Also, the chapter has no funds. There are easy ways to improve funds for the chapter. However, I’m not sure what the funds would be used for if the chapter had funds. In any case, the chapter should have the option of funds. Financial planning is in the works. From the RC: Your issues are well thought out, please keep us advised should you require direct assistance from the Regional Staff, we are here to help, feel free to contact any of the various offices you believe can best assist you. I am saying this because I get the feeling that you and Sharon think I am out to get you or something. With that said… For the prestige that I denied. Resubmitting your claim for prestige for a clothing drive run by the Regional office doesn’t work if the donation you are trying to claim as part of the drive was actually toys and not clothing. So if you want to claim its clothing now I’ll need copies of the receipts. Past that please remove it from your prestige logs. Thanks for letting me know what the CC of report actually entails. I was merely curious as until this month every report of which you have awarded Sharon prestige for the job, only your name was shown as doing the report. If she had been sending them up on your behalf or if both of your names had been at the bottom from the beginning I wouldn’t have asked. -Would you please justify the Assistant positions attached to the DST offices? Sure the ADST of Requiem helps our DST out with questions and rules calls with the new game mechanics, writes the city history and was supposed to start running games. But as you have noticed I am sure, the ADST for Requiem hasn’t been awarded prestige for the last couple of months due to inactivity. Currently Kelly is in the process of writing a VSS for our Domain and will probably run to be our VST. But anyone who wants to write up a VSS is more than welcome to also do the same. ADST of Influences probably should change that to Merits since all of those types of things got merged. Basically this ADST manages all the Merits that affect down time actions. People raiding someone’s haven, allies and contacts hooking PC up with stuff, how people are spending monthly Resource allotments and signing off on item cards. And also once in a while asked to run NPC or run scenes if the VST or DST is to busy with something else. Pretty much the same as it has been for the last two years. -There is no Requiem VSS or any visible progress towards the establishment of a city history. To this one all I can say is from No Remorse only Chris Hart took any interest in our history/city meetings. Since until recently we didn’t have anyone all that interested to be VST the going has been slow. Any input from you all would be appreciated. I have been somewhat amiss in awarding prestige to my chapter coordinators. In order to fix this I've listed the months that I need to award Mario Kellert US2002022517 prestige since October of last year. Response: Noted and awarded. Five months of 40 general prestige in the administration category. I have been more than tardy in getting reports out. I had some issues getting my CTS to work with all of our chapters databases. I seem to have resolved these issues and should be prompt with reporting in the future. Response: Good. We like on-time reports. [NEW] Gary Corkins, US2002021215 & Vanese Corkins US200202121374 sent donations to the NEGLECT 2004 OOC Charity Auction. Neither were listed on the Prestige report for NEGELCT 2004. In December 2004 I contacted the OOC Auction Lead, and he acknowledged receipt of the items. He promised to look into it, and has not responded since. From the RC: Contact that person again, and review here: http://camarilla.white-wolf.com/conventions/prestige/archives.html to find his boss, and perhaps contact the National Conventions Administrator [NEW] [For National] Gary Corkins, US2002021215 was ANC-DB until April 2003. The April 2003 US National Chapters Coordinator Report lists an award/recommendation of 30N. This was never entered in the staff prestige listing on the website. Over the past 8 months I have sent several email requests to the ANC-Prestige, and 2 emails to the USNC, and have gotten no response at all. From the RC: Submit the request and forward of the report, cc’ing this office. [NEW] The Online RC reports list several prestige awards for members, but have misspelled names, this has cause regional MC reviewers to deny Regional prestige awards because they couldn't be found. From the RC: Contact the Member Review office with the erroneous reports and a notice will be placed in a future regional report regarding the adjustments. [NEW] The DST sent his report in early, but the RST report indicates it was never received. He has had difficulties getting onto the Report list. From the RC: I would suggest attempting to access the Reports list through a different email address, have an ADST submit it to the Reports list, and or cc the RST’s Reports Officer and RST personally. If old reports are missing request from these officers that they be backdated (once the former reports be submitted to them with timestamp). [OLD] iCamarilla: I now have access to the Database thanks to the USNC. I still have a few members not properly listed as being in the domain however. Regional is unable to assist me in this. [OLD]  One of our Members, Lesley Kryselmire (Packel) was Changeling Lead at SWRE, she has still not been awarded any prestige for this. [UPDATE] I was asked by the SWRC to contact the SWRST and ask him to forward a recommendation to the SWRC. I sent a message to the SWRST, but have yet to hear back. From the RC: Yes, but it is more of a courtesy, inform the ARC Admin of your prestige modifications, and he will reply with confirmation, insure that this confirmation is logged in your report. Suggestions: Please put the RC Report on the Reports list as a text report, not just as a link to the webpage. I use an offline email reader and it is impossible to read the RC Reports now. Comments: Several member have been removed from the report, as their memberships have lapsed, also some former members have expressed an interest in rejoining the club. There is a great deal of concern that favoritism and the Good ole Boy network is rearing it's ugly head again at the top levels of the club. A new AMST Forsaken was announced this month. One of our members was interested in applying for this job, but an All Call never went out. Now the AMST Forsaken has announced that assistants will be hired, but we are to wait patiently for the All-Call. People who were waiting "patiently" for the AMST Forsaken All Call never saw it.
