II. Summary of the Month:

The goal of the South West Regional Coordinator’s office is to have the reports up to date and on the website by the end of May. Other project consist of planning events, making sure the membership has all the information it needs, updated and on a single website; as well as the stream lining of the regional staff.

III. Questions/Problems from the RC & Staff:

Charities Office
	Questions: Charity: None at this time other than awarding backdated prestige. I would appreciate a response regarding the award of prestige so I can tell people about backdated charity donations. If the prestige won't be awarded to people, then it may make my job more difficult. From the RC: I need a list posted in your next official report of everyone due regional prestige, also I need all Charities to be temporarily suspended by May 31, 2005 so that we may assess our Charities procedures and how we need to track and award the various efforts throughout the region. Problems: Charity: I'd like feedback regarding the lack of response I've gotten from our coordinator regarding the same problem I've mentioned before regarding charity prestige not being awarded for several months last year. Communications Office
	None.
Events Office
	Problem/Concern: Have had some issues regarding the proposed West Coast Regional Event. Members of staff have been speaking to members in the Las Vegas area in an attempt to solicit bids for this event. This event has NOT YET been approved by National. Until this event is approved, we CANNOT solicit bids. Discussion of this event prevented Las Vegas from bidding on SWRE 2006 as they were under the false impression that WCRE would start next year. This is a very big problem. I have asked the staff to please refrain from discussion on this event until it has been approved and National sets forth guidelines for same. I request that all communication on this event go through my office at this time as the discussions mentioned above have caused confusion and hard feelings. I have acquired the guidelines needed to have this event approved by National and forwarded same to both Regional Coordinators. Planning for this event cannot commence until BOTH RC’s agree to it and sign off on it. From the RC: Acknowledged please keep us abreast of the situation.

IV. Projects:

Member Review: Current projects include refining the SOP and writing a Prestige FAQ for the region. Of course, the queue is the main priority, and making sure that people who have been in the queue prior to the changing of the guard receive priority. Additional project: Compiling a list of all members in the region who are MC 9 or above.
