II. Summary of the
Month:
|
Greetings
SOUTH WEST!!! It's coming
up on my one year anniversary in the Hot Seat here in the South West, and as
August rears its head I think that overall the last year has been a good one. We've
closed down a Chronicle and have held strong through the birthing pains of a
new one, membership churns and we've said goodbye for now to some old
friends, but have also made a lot of new ones. The most
important thing to consider however is that we are coming close to the Event
of the Year right here in the Heart and Soul of the Camarilla (at least in my
opinion) the SOUTH WEST! That's right
ICC has returned once more and with it all eyes will once more be on the
golden deserts, mountains, cities and shores of our home region. With that
in mind we hear in the Regional Office would like to hear what you have to
say, helpful suggestions, quiet complaints, or even long held gripes. Now we are not going to promise to grant
wishes, but we will promise to do what we can to fix those problems that are
under our umbrella, and better still to work towards hammering at resolutions
or at least patches for those issues are beyond our direct influence. As always, we are looking for your
thoughts, ideas, and interests, what you would want to see, and how we can make
and prove that the South West is your region, that we want you to be able to
be proud of it and your fellow membership. There are
several spots opening up in the Regional Team, and after some thought and
consideration we've decided to see about trying to get new blood onto the
team. We don't care if your Member
Class 20 or 1, we are looking for anyone and everyone willing to put effort
into making the region a better place, there is a lot of work involved but
the more we put out, the better it is for everyone. Keep an
eye out, or even pipe up with your suggestions, we are here to help you, and
look forward to the months ahead. Kindest

2006: Planning group has been created. Rowen Cota is adding bodies to the
list and to the staff. Have a temp SWRE web site for comment available: http://www.titheofsouls.org/SWRE2006main.php ●Will
be holding an open competition to design the actual logo for SWRE 2006. The
winner will get a free admission to the event. ●WCRE
2007 – Both RC’s have agreed that they would like to combine their Regional
Events into a single large scale event beginning in 2007. I have begun the
process of organizing this for formal presentation to National. National must
approve this event before actual planning can occur. |

coordinators so they may reference regional policy and report information. |

●The new CRD system has a
built-in system for tracking prestige. I have developed a small program to
extract Prestige from the Excel sheet to the format that the CRD import wants
it. I am tagging Lisa Schoop with helping me put a face on the program. More
news to follow. ●Exploring the idea of a web
site design contest to allow the members of the South West Region to exhibit
their creativity. More news to come. |
