II. Summary of the Month:

Greetings SOUTH WEST!!!

One more month to go before the midpoint of my first term has been reached, and I am still excited and honored to be your Regional Coordinator. Things have been bumpy but we are into the home stretch, and ICC in the Heart of our Region looms on the horizon.

We've been doing a lot to try to become a part of your lives here in the Regional Office, we've opened up our doors to offer opportunities to all and continue to be dedicated to being not only your peers but also being open to helping you in any fashion you wish.

I want to say thank you to every one of our officers, storytellers, and members who come together to make our region proud, I encourage all of you to take part as best or as much as you can because the South West is something special because of each of you. Enough cheerleading for now, just know that we here at Regional are doing what we can to make a difference for you the members, and if you like it, if you don't, let us know.

	●I am currently revising the submitted content for the Leadership Handbook. The Arbitration Office would like to Welcome Jamie Schork-Morency to the Arbitration Staff.
Charities Office
	From the RC: ●We would like to seek out someone willing and able to create documentation, procedures, methods and structure for the Charities Office of the Region. We would like more of a community service and charitable works done rather then just mere drives. Any member interested in such should contact us.
Communications Office
	●Welcoming submissions for the Regional Newsletter. ●Working on acquiring articles for the Regional Newsletter. ●Accepting submissions and nominations for chapter/domain highlights.
Events Office
	●ICC 2005 – Oct 26-30 2005 – Phoenix AZ. ●SWRE 2006: Planning group has been created. Rowen Cota is adding bodies to the list and to the staff. Have a temp SWRE web site for comment available: http://www.titheofsouls.org/SWRE2006main.php ●Will be holding an open competition to design the actual logo for SWRE 2006. The winner will get a free admission to the event. ●WCRE 2007 – Both RC’s have agreed that they would like to combine their Regional Events into a single large scale event beginning in 2007. I have begun the process of organizing this for formal presentation to National. National must approve this event before actual planning can occur. From the RC: ●I would like to see a document created for the Regional Lists and for the Regional Website detailing how one can hold, sponsor and support Mini-Regional events, I have heard from many individuals that how one does this is a mystery to the general membership and I would like to see the Events Office develop something of a Guide for Domains to use to work as a roadmap.
Member Review Office
	Current projects include refining the SOP and writing a Prestige FAQ for the region. Of course, the queue is the main priority, and making sure that people who have been in the queue prior to the changing of the guard receive priority. Additional project: Compiling a list of all members in the region who are MC 9 or above. These projects are nearly complete.
Reports Office
	●Currently helping locate the ‘lost’ members of the SW Region in the CRD. ●Maintaining a spreadsheet of current coordinator information for all chapters and domains. ●Compiling a listing of venues for each chapter and domain as well as contact information so that the Technology Office can update and maintain the SW Region website. ●Created a new Coordinator reporting template that utilizes the national template as well as additional information needed for the regional report. Working on the domain coordinator version. The Reports Staff would like to Congratulate CA-028 and HI-005 on becoming a domain.
Technology Office
	●Lisa Schoop has made great progress on the CRD Prestige transfer tool. Now we are working on the export to text feature and we will then release it.

CA-015-C Anathema	Current Projects: Trying to get an accurate membership. Trying to get access to the membership database for several members old prestige lists (mine, included) Problems: I have received very few responses from the membership of Anathema to date. It is likely, partially, a reaction to not having had a Coordinator for an extended period. I am unsure of how to resolve this, but am making attempts to do so before next report. Questions: Harold Hubert US2002021065 has applied for MC 13. How do I follow up on this or do I need to? Similar question for George Owen Holdren US2002045386 and his petition for MC 4. From the RC: In regards to Mr. Hulbert’s review it is best that you review the prestige log, if it meets with your approval in regards to numbers, formatting and links then mark it approved and forward it to the Domain Coordinator for further review. Eventually it will reach the National Office. In regards to Mr. Holdren, you as CC should review the Log and approve it or not based on if it meets your approval in regards to formatting, numbers and links. If you do approve merely place it in your report as approved and inform the member. Ian Watstein US2002021820 (expired) is looking to re-join. Is there another way to access his old prestige logs that you know of? As I mentioned, I haven't yet gained access to the Anathema DB and a similar problem is what he describes as one of his reasons for leaving the Camarilla. How can I help him? From the RC: It is best that you request that the member provide any logs that they may have, if they do review it, and approve it, if it requires higher approval then submit it up the chain, if everyone is okay with it, merely record it and allow the member the member class approval. CA-052-D Black Magic Kingdom	Current Projects: ICC - 2005 - charity event - still pending information Anthony who was going to talk with Events ARC Presented idea to RC regarding creating Regional rubber wrist bands for fund raiser/charity drive Bring out your dead charity drive is set to take place at end of August, most likely this will be postponed "Where is the BMK Monkey" Fund Raiser is still running. Help save the babies. BMK will be holding a Soda Can Pull Tab drive for the Ronald McDonald House. Elaine Hirsch will be organizing and maintaining this drive. Prestige is set 1 point for every 5 pull tabs starting the beginning of August BMK held a big social workshop for a large influx of new Camarilla members. The event was a success! Thanks guys for setting this up under such short notice! Problems: The BMK Monkey and friends are STILL missing. The demand ransom is $100, we have only raised $21, come on everyone help free the babies. Problem between a few Riverside Players and BMK member has been resolved. DC got everyone to sit down and talk and all is calm! Small issue broke out concerning improper behavior towards another member, this was resolved quickly. Gentlemen and Ladies, please be mindful on how you speak to one another, for there is a fine line between being flattering and being sexist, let's please check the tongues at the door. ADC of Events and Charities has stepped down from position. There are concerns regarding the DST and the lack of a VST. BMK will be rebuilding the Story teller staff in the month to come. BMK is experiencing a huge growth this last month as individuals from a local folding troupe have decided to join the Camarilla. There are some members from this troupe who once were Camarilla members many years ago. Questions: If a new Camarilla member comes into the Cam and brings all his buddies, can I give this new member prestige for each new person he brings in or should I consider this as just one huge exodus into the Cam? From the RC: It’s a matter of timing and influence. If the new Member convinced his group to join up then yes, if they all joined at the same time then no. Suggestions: Review your membership handbook periodically even if you think you know what it says. Never hurts to refresh the brain. Comments: Been working this last month with integrating new members into the Camarilla. Need all who are joining to get their cam numbers in order. This month reporting reflects all who claim they will be joining. I give the new members 30 days to get me their numbers. Next month there will be a cutting of names if numbers are not received. Everyone in the domain is encouraged to participate. Equestrian therapy for the handicapped has asked for volunteers. We've taken this opportunity to gain some community service prestige. Creation of Domain Web Page as well as an online influence submission form Creation of Domain Newsletter. I’m sick of people telling me how I should be doing my job, when every single person who has complained about the administration has come to me after trying to do the job themselves and said “Wow, you were right. No one in the domain cares, and it’s really hard!” Meanwhile, I resist the urge to say “I told you so,” and go about my business. So, I’m done. I look forward to being a member and the AVST for Forsaken. I’m leaving on August 24 to go on a Mediterranean cruise for two weeks, and hopefully by the time I get back, there will be a new DC. CA-060-C No Remorse	Current Projects: Canned food drive, Book Drive Questions: Please note that Louis Somers and Sharon Johnson participated in the regional clothing drive for the month of January and February. The month of February has been awarded and we would like to know whether a separate award will be given for January or whether the award for February was inclusive of the donations made in separate months. A question in this vein was sent to Brad Stollar upon the release of the May report that included the regional charity. This question has yet to be answered. From the RC: As Mr. Stollar is no longer a part of the Regional Staff information was gleaned solely from reports provided at this time we must assume that the awards for February were inclusive of January, however we understand if there has been an oversight in the recording of those figures. If you believe such is the case please send an email to the ARC Administration (cc’ing your DC) with the amount and type of donations made in January and in February, and also include the award received in February, you may then request that the Award be increased to more fit what you perceive as a more equitable prestige award. CA-064-D Bitter Sanctuary	Comments: None Problems: Allen McCumber sent an e-mail to Nicko Demeter and Joe Klabouch that was very inflammatory and working to insinuate himself in interfering with the ST chain. Nick responded on the domain list in an inappropriate way. Nicko and Allen were given an official warning for their behaviors. Allen, before I got home had seen Nicko's response then sent an e-mail to Kevin Millard the RST. I corresponded with Kevin to refer him back to me as he jumped outside the chain. Kevin had already given him the advice that I was asking him to give. Allen was suspended from CC duties on 072605 for a failure to communicate in a fashion in which I deemed appropriate which included an apology to Nicko and Joe. None has been communicated to me as having happened. Where as Nicko's response to Allen's letter was wrong and merited a warning, Allen's query was accusatory and problem making instead of working towards solving a problem? I understand where Allen was coming from but the execution of what he wanted to communicate was done horribly. Allen had gone back and forth with quitting and taking two 24 hr self imposed breaks as he didn't know how to handle the situation in which he had created. His problem in which he started had caused an escalation which is not going to be commented on here as that is under investigation. With 2 members already transferring to another domain, 2 more resigned from the chapter to either be independent domain or in Moonlight Masquerade. At that with 5 active member and one member going missing, the remaining members decided to dissolve the chapter as I had decide that it was problematic and continuation of the chapter would be a waste of time and resources for the Domain and the Region. NV-005-C Vegas Stakes	Current Projects: Vegas Stakes is still growing strong with the donation of pop tabs to the R.M.D.H. charity. I am still going through recent transfers into Vegas Stakes prestige logs. Their numbers may change depending on what I find. I am working with the members of Vegas Stakes and trying to schedule a chapter meeting. Problems: I am trying to get a copy of Dustin Gwin's prestige log that was sent to regional for his MC 9 and 10. I did send e-mails to the RPM: Member Class Review and got no response back from them. Is there anyway I can get his log and he can be notified of his mc class approval? It did say in the RC report for May 05 that he was approved. Problems: I'm having trouble tracking down a regional award that should have been awarded to Lance Shantz (US2002076400) for a regional clothing drive during 10/03. I need either access to the old tool that gives us access to expiration dates on members so we can track them.
