II. Summary

Every month I'm impressed with how much you all give to charity. This
month we had almost 200 people donate to 2nd Harvest and I get to
award an epic amount of regional prestige. There are definitely days
where I really love this job.
I realize some people aren't happy with the current speed of prestige
reviews. A few things people need to realize. When I was doing them
myself, I had plenty of time on my hands and I do mean a lot. Not to
mention I've got about fours years experience that our Rudy just
doesn't have, but he is learning fast. And I'm proud to have him on
Staff. Jared Royka has stepped up and is assisting Rudy with prestige
audits. What doesn't help, is people submitting prestige logs that
have been reviewed already by ME, that had lines that needed
corrections and deleting those notes. This slows things down… a lot.
Not including links for Regional and National prestige awards are
still an issue. Or even sending up logs that were locked by National,
but the unlocked log is sent up without all the corrections made by
National. And that's just some of the issues, not even including the
corrections that get made during a review. So please make Rudy's job
easy and stop adding extra work he shouldn't have to do.
I hope everyone enjoyed our new Newsletter, I know I did. Remember
our Newsletter will be as good as you all make it. So submit stuff,
get regional prestige, and get a kick ass newsletter as a result.
And don't forget that the South West Regional Event is right around
the corner. I SWaRE I'll be there, you should be too!

QUESTIONS FOR NATIONAL:

Questions:

The CC, SpiderTeo, is currently subscribed to the us-sw-reports list to
upload reports and view the archive. However, upon entering the archives, he
is only able to see messages no later than February 2007. Is anyone else
having this problem? If no, then does anyone have any ideas of how to fix
this problem?

Regional: No it's not just you, both Regional and the ANC Chapters are
aware of this issue, it has been mentioned to the ACD tech on more
than one occasion, there seems to not be a immediate solution… it's
not just our list that's affected by this, and no it's not cause the
archiving feature… maybe national can prod global for a solution to
the lack of archiving that's happening for the SW reports list.

QUESTIONS:
In the current Membership Handbook, there is mention of a Test of Leadership
ordeal. However, this ordeal never existed. Is there a plan to have a Test
of Leadership written up, or does the Handbook need to be revised?

Under whose jurisdiction is San Bernardino, in part or whole? This questions
applies to both administrative/coordinator oversight as well as storyteller
oversight, if jurisdiction is different for both.
Regional: That should be CA-028-D La Maison du Sanguinaire, that
what's in the CRD. Why something wrong?

QUESTIONS ANSWERED BY REGIONAL:

Regional: their held by ww, I'm told they'll be on the upcoming NC
report as I finally got an eta from the anc admin.

Can the SW regional website be made more up to date on RST
reports, the last one on there is July 2007. I rely on the website for
reports for the prestige recommendations for my DST.
Regional: check the RC reports, if we have received the
recommendations from the RST, it should be in the RC report as well.

Questions: I've asked for the application for forming a chapter and
have not received a response.

Questions: Problems:
1. Our only trial member, Douglas Weed (US2007111414T) has
reportedly had a membership purchased for him by Elaina Allis
(US2007060199), is there anyway we can verify that this member has
been credited for this membership purchase? Who can they contact?

Regional: if the credit was purchased, there should be a credit
associated with their WW/cam profile to redeem, if not, contact Sean
Mooney membership services.

>From CA 057D:
We still have heard no word if the Paradise Lost chapter has been
closed or not from regional or national.

Regional: Is currently in the ANC chapters hands, was on a list given
to her within the last week.

Scott Beeh, US2007080498 is not able to access the CRD, and Approvals
Database.. Everytime he tries to access the CRD it reroutes me back to
the Cam Home Page. Since he cannot log on he cannot join our domain
via CRD.

Regional: he needs to log a bug within the mantis system, or someone
else can attempt to do so for him so he can get a higher up to resolve
the major part of this issue.

The DST Ray Mosco cannot see any waiting approvals in the approvals
database. Since he has been having problems with the approvals
database all approvals are on hold. He has contacted regional but so
far we haven't had heard anything from them.

Regional: We'll try to prod the RST to see about fixing this, but a
second email with 'SECOND TRY' added in the subject line might help as
well

ARC Arbitration Projects:
I want to assemble a database of all Regional Arbitration issues, past
and present. This will aid the ARC: Arbitration and the RC in
investigating the history of the principals involved.

Update: Current issues that I am aware of have been archived. Will be
attempting to contact Domain level Coordinators to collect and archive
their past issues. So far, most Domain Coordinators have been
contacted. Waiting for reply s.

I want to host Code of Conduct workshops and promote CoC education at
the Domain and Chapter level.

Update: Possible USCC and SWRE workshops.

ARC Independants Projects:
I am working this month on getting in contact with the members of the
independent chapters that are folding.

ARC election Projects:

- updating excel tracking table.
- Contacting those Domains and Chapters the CRD says are in need of
an election.

ARC Prestige Projects:
- I am continuing to use the Prestige Audit Queue. No additional
comments or feedback at this time.
- Update and review for next report: 06/01/08
