Hello South West,
I figured I would do my good bye speech in this report so as to not take away from the newly elected SWRC, who ever happens to win. Plus I have a lot to give thanks for and as it is Thanksgiving in November it seemed to fit. I’d like to take this time to thank all the people in the SW who voted for me last year to become your RC. And all those that voted for me to remain your RC even though I moved out of the region due to military obligations. I’d even like to thank those that voted for against me staying. The feed back I got from both sides helped to direct the last half of my term.
I’d like to thank all those that have been or currently on my staff. Your time, energy and enthusiasm helped to make the last year as the SWRC awesome and everything I knew it could be. To all the members who donated to charity, submitted newsletter articles, stepped up to be officers, formed new Chapters, became Domains, sent in reports, ran FGoTM, recruited new members, audited prestige, updated websites, took your ordeals, mentored a new member, or just send me ideas to use. Thank you.
During the last year the South West Regional Charity Drives have done more than any previously ran within the South West. We donated over 1,600 Teddy Bears to Hugs Across America. Almost 150,000 pounds of food to 2nd Harvest Food Banks. Over 7,500 trees were able to be planted through American Forests. Over 350 new born baby kits donated to Save the Children and over $2,000 in toys have been donated to My Two Front Teeth. And this isn’t even including what I’m sure we’ll do in December. That means as a Club we have donated over $30,000 to charity this year, just from the South West Regional Charity Drives. When you add in the $12,500 we raised during SWaRE08. That’s $42,500 raised for Charity this year! You all deserve a round of applause for that. One person though needs to be singled out, Sara Hart-Mooney. She brought the drive and energy the ARC Charities needed and maintained at that level the whole time. Thank you Sara.
We’ve had consistent SWRC Reporting almost all year long. The only time it was really late was October’s and that was my fault. As I said when I ran for RC I don’t mind sending in my report out a little late if that meant I could award the RST staff their awards in the month they earned them. Not to mention get any last minute additions so those members didn’t have to wait another month for their prestige. I never needed the prestige from this job, but I know you all need the prestige that gets awarded from my SWRC reports. So it was always important to me to submit a complete product.
Our ARC Admin Sara DeSanto did an awesome job collecting all the necessary information and putting it into the SWRC report for me and for all of you. Doing an RC report is one of the most tedious jobs you can get as an ARC next to prestige auditing. You have to bug CC, DC and sometimes even ARC to report and you have to work with the SW RST office to help ensure their ST awards get recorded in a timely fashion. There is a lot of detail that goes into these reports and Sara has this down pat.
Since January 2008 our CC and DC elections have done a 180. Now our elections are ran in a timely manner thanks to ARC Elections Lenora Mills and her proctor team. This office now helps run DST elections too with the SWRST’s office. Allowing our RST staff more time to focus on running our Venues, Approvals and in general ST stuff. Lenora and her team have taken on this extra work load and done a superb job.
Our “Floaters” were taken care of by the ARC Independents Kristi Trujillo. Who did all she could to help those members out and our Independent Chapters. With her help we cleaned up a few inactive chapters and helped get a few working again.
Our ARC Publications Lelanhi “Kitty” Chase took a newsletter that had started to die and pumped new life into it. She hands numerous submissions and puts them all together for us to enjoy. Putting all that together is a lot harder than she makes it look.
Our ARC Prestige Team Jared Royka and Marco Terrazas both stepped up to tackle one of the most detail orientated jobs a coordinator can do in the Cam, auditing prestige logs. Becoming good at it can seem daunting and honestly I’ve seen few put any serious effort into it. As an auditor of six years I’ve seen all kinds of logs. To have two people willing and able to work together to make sure audits happen. Not to mention having people who really want to learn about all that goes into auditing is a blessing not to be ignored.
The ARC Arbitration Jesse Robbins tackled few issues that needed to be handled directly by the Regional office. But his assistance was invaluable to me and allowed me to focus on other things that needed to be addressed.
The ARC Technologies Corissa Hinkley worked with Kelly Nabours to update our brand new SW Regional Website, that Kelly created and donates to our region. Now our site gets updated regularly again. All the old SW RST and RC reports that were on the old one are there. Our newsletters are being posted there. We’ve got updated contact information for our Regional Staff there. Not to mention the site is much faster to load in our web browsers.
Without my ARC Staff my job would have been ten times harder to do. By working with them and allowing them control of their programs, our Region has run rather smoothly. I’m going to miss being your Regional Coordinator just as I will miss living in the South West Region. But know while I might not be around as much, the South West will always be my home.

Don’t forget Cam Socials are worth a General Regional Prestige split award in November and December this year. I’m still waiting on a few corrections for the Social awards in November so those awards will be on the December report. Though they’ll probably be up on the USNC site before that.

A new player Jim Grove (US2008103025). He put himself under the wrong chapter CA-073-C The last rites when adding himself to CRD. I am unable to move him. Should I contact tech to have him moved to the general San Diego domain?
Fixed SWRC.
Question from CA069I: Would it be possible to get a hold of the City of Voices Lost & Evilville CC reports? There are a few members of the chapter with prestige from those eras that don't show up on their logs.
National should hopefully have records of these chapters. The ANC chapters would be the person to contact.

In the month of November if you donate 3 Kits ($30) to "Save the Children" and then max out the rest of your community service category and then also donate at least $30 worth of toys to "My Two Front Teeth" you will receive 20 regional prestige in exceptional service from the SW.
