II. Summary

A couple of changes seen in the aRC Charities department. I'd like to thank Michael for all his hard work, and thank Casey for agreeing to take on the position. I'm also very happy to see the number of participants in the charities steadily increase. Keep up the good work! I've got a couple of interesting ideas in the works, and will hopefully have things ironed out in a few weeks.

Problems:

1. Still waiting on the Regional prestige review for Jason Orman, US2005075728.

2. Andrew Wallin (US2009074487) donated to the Regional Charity (Gamers Helping Haiti) and wasn’t on the last Regional report.

Answer: Gamers helping Haiti wasn’t a regional charity, Childs play is, tho if reported properly would be worth prestige for the national charity. (see link mentioned further down)

3. Andrew Wallin (US2009074487) wasn’t given Prestige for January 2010 for being DST.

Answer: Then the DC can backdate it, based on the recommendations in the RST report, if its not on the RST report, please speak with the ARST chief of Staff or Reports.

SWRC: DST prestige is given based on recommendations made in the RST report. If a DST's prestige isn't included in my report it is typically for one of two reasons, either that the RST report wasn't filed, or it wasn't sent to me before I filed my report.

4. C.R. “SpiderTeo” Teodoro (US2002021898) going up for Regional prestige review.

Answer: Send to Shayne Cooly the arc prestige at US.sw.prestige@gmail.com

5. Phillip Trad (US2009094795) unable to be found on the CRD and thus added to the Domain. Solutions?

Answer from regional: he is on the CRD when searched for by number, he is listed as a member of the US 001-N nation, which the NC needs to move (or an appropriate assistant)

Questions:

1. Whom do we report the Regional/National Charities to? On our Domain report? To the respective Charity assistant in those positions?

Answer from regional: Please Send regional charities to the ARC charities as well as including it in your report

It should be sent as a separate report to the regional reports list.

2. Prestige award for me as ADC Prestige? Need to get that from the Regional Coordinator staff as I can’t award myself.

Answer from regional: See further into the report since you’re doing the report, and the former dc is just sending in the email.

Current Projects: Right now I'm working on getting everyone's prestige logs up to date. No one seems to have copies of the chapter reports since May 09 so it's proving to be a little difficult.

Comment: the reports get archived on the cammail server, so you should be able to find at least a few of them. However It is the MEMBERS JOB to keep their own prestige logs, which will save a lot of trouble and pain later down the road.

SWRC: The archive of the SW reports list is minimal at best. Several years ago something happened and older reports were lost. This is something that I have been continually asking about but not getting an end date on. The aNC Chapters may have older reports then are on the Reports list archive.

Problems: Tess McDermot is not listed on the CRD as a chapter member, how do I fix this?

Answer, Tess should be able to move herself from the domain level to the chapter level, or the DC can move her.

SWRC: If there is a problem moving her, then please let me know and I can make sure she gets moved and that the current DC has the appropriate rights to do this in the future.

Questions: Where can I find previous months Regional reports? As I have at least two members who get awarded general at the Regional level, I need to be able to keep track. Thanks.

Answer: Regional reports get posted to the regional list, DC’s get awarded prestige there, DST’s prestige get recommended by the RST office, so the prestige amount there isn’t an award so much as a recommendation.

During this month, Casey has been sorting through old emails to ensure that all back dated prestige is awarded. We have been showing good participation with both the regional and national level charities. At this point in time, not many members have taken advantage of the regional prestige award for charity recommendations for the second quarter.

- Contacted Caleb Bogaczyk about the google domain/region map projected they posted about on the Uscamarilla-ooc list. To see if they want to collaborate with the Map Sara DeSanto already made and the calendar I am working on. (no reply yet)

ARC admin note: I don’t think there’s been any RC staff changes except for ARC Charities.

SWRC: Other then changing the aRC Charities to Casey Corbin, there are no other changes needed. :)

Questions: I am also seeing alot of old or outdated information on the reports when I put them up online...what channels would you like to have gone thru when either I notice it or have people contact me to change things on the report because it is not accurate.

CURRENT PROJECTS:

The Nov/Dec 2009 Newsletter is still in progress. Some spreads have already been done, as well as the cover. We are hoping to get the rest done very soon!

Work on the Jan/Feb 2009 issue has started. The theme of the issue is relationships, given February's St. Valentine's Day holiday. It can be about any kind of relationship, romantic, platonic, antagonistic, but it should involve some sort of passion and emotion in it.

So far, we got preliminary assignments here:

The already mentioned delay for the Nov/Dec issue is the most pressing problem. Hoping to get it finished within a week or two.

The Jan/Feb issue is already expected to be delayed, but we are going to try to expedite as much as possible.
